Terengganu determined to keep in-form striker Francis Doe

There will be no cashing in on Doe. Liberian hitman Francis Doe’s sparkling form has caught the eye of other teams, but Terengganu FA insist the Liberian hitman is not for sale.

Terengganu FA deputy president Sheikh Ahmad Tajudin Sheikh Yusof said rumours have been circulating ever since the prolific striker started tucking in the goals.

“We are not interested. Doe is, and always will be, our player. Other teams maybe interested but we intend to hold on to our best players,” he said.

Sheikh Ahmad claimed the rumours were started by irresponsible parties out to disrupt the team’s spirit and the player’s focus.

“We have rules for every foreign player at Asean level. When a foreigner quits, he cannot play for another team in Malaysia for two years,” he said.

Doe, 26, has played for Egyptian team Ah-Ahly, American New York Red Bulls and Minnesota Thunder as well as DC United.

His form in the Super League has been remarkable as he has been scoring in almost every game.
