Terengganu denies allegations their players involved in match fixing

Terengganu Football Association President Datuk Che Mat Jusoh has denied rumours that his players were involved in match fixing.

Che Mat said Terengganu players were clean and not involved in any football bribery or match fixing as claimed by some irresponsible people who were out to demoralize the team.

He said some had raised doubts over the inconsistent performance of the Terengganu team in the Super League, FA Cup and Asian Football Confederation (AFC Cup) competitions.

"Outsiders should not make such negative accusations just to disrupt the team's spirit and momentum," he told reporters after announcing the Terengganu team's preparedness to face Hong Kong club, Kitchee FC in their AFC Cup match here today.

Che Mat who is also the team manager said his players were upset by such accusations.
