Over 3,000 local Arsenal fans had a lifetime experience meeting up their favourite English Premier League (EPL) team at Mid-Valley Megamall here today.
In the "meet-the-fans" session, Arsenal was represented by its goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, midfielders Jack Wilshere and Alex Song and striker Theo Walcott.
Wilshere said the four of them did not expect such an overwhelming welcome from their Malaysian fans who had filled up one of the largest shopping mall in the city since early morning.
"It is really amazing, and we are delighted," he told reporters.
Kuala Lumpur is the first city in the Arsenal Asia Tour 2011, and the team will play against the Malaysian national team tomorrow at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil. Kick off is at 8.45 pm.
After Malaysia, they will fly to China for a match against Hangzhou Greentown on Saturday.
