Milo sports camp a huge success in Penang

Well over 350 school children attended the 3rd 'Play More Learn More' camp held by Milo over the weekend in Air Itam, Penang.
The school children, below the age of 14 from different races, were taught the basic skills of football, netball and basketball before taking part in a competition.

Koh Wan Leong, the co-ordinator of 12 Rukun Tetangga in Air Itam, Ng Ping Loong, the Sports Marketing Manager of Nestle, and four children of different races symbolically launched the camp.

Following the success of the six-leg camp last year, Milo doubled the number to 12 this year in selected Rukun Tetangga and Residents Associations areas in the country.

Ping Loong said: "The children at the camp learned about sportsmanship, perseverance, unity, teamwork and respect for opponents. This will help them face future challenges with confidence."

The next 'Play More Learn More' camp will be held on July 30 in Kuching.

RESULTS (all finals): Football -- Boys' Under-14 seven-a-side: Penang Free School A bt Penang Free School B 2-0.
