Club side Sime Darby took a major step towards earning a Malaysia Cup spot after whipping Pahang 4-0 in their first leg Malaysia Cup Play Off at the Selayang Stadium on Tuesday.
Though the first half ended in a tame goalless draw, the start of the second half was a fiery affair as Sime Darby came out of the dressing room looking all fired up.
And in the very first minute of the restart, Mohd Faizal Esahar put the home side in the lead, while skipper Mohd Nor Ismail added the second in the 62nd minute before Yusri Abas made it 3-0 in the 80 minute.
Mohd Badrul Hisyam Moris who missed a golden opportunity in the first half, made amends by adding on to the misery of Pahang with a 90th minute strike.
The second leg between the two teams will be held at the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan, Pahang on July 22.
