Perak ready for Malaysia Cup

If the results of friendly matches are anything to go by, Perak are set to make a strong presence in their upcoming Malaysia Cup campaign next month.

Bolstered by three on-loan players, Perak won 4-1 against the Armed Forces, 5-0 against Police and 6-0 against the Navy in the three friendly matches that featured the three players.

The three are USM top scorer Mohd Failee Mohd Ghazli, Mohd Hafiszuan Salehuddin of Perlis and Harimau Muda’s Muhammad Rafiuddin Roddin.

Team manager Khairul Azwan Harun said the trio blended well with the rest of the players.

Perak lost five key players who are serving a seven-match suspension since July. They are team captain Shahrulnizam Mustapha, top scorer Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli, goalkeeper Mohd Nasril Nourdin and midfielders Mohd Syazwan Roslan and Azmeer Yusoff.

The five were punished for their involvement in a brawl during the Super League match against Sabah on May 19.
