The high mass lighting system of Stadium Negeri in Petra Jaya will be ready for the Malaysia Cup.
It is learnt the contractor has pledged the brightness will be able to meet the minimum requirement of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) before the kick-off.
The FAM competition committee has set 800 lux as the minimum brightness for local games.
The stadium lighting system has not been in use for many years.
Its upgrading started in May and when fully completed by November, will be capable of producing 1,200 lux.
The Crocs’ home for the 2010 Premier League was the Sarawak Stadium but after it was closed for renovation, home games had to be switched to Stadium Negeri.
This season, matches at home had to start at 4.15pm but that will change when the Malaysia Cup begins on Sept 9.
Sarawak have earned a berth in the Malaysia Cup after finishing runner-up in the Premier League.
State FA officials will leave for Kuala Lumpur on Friday for the draw.
They are secretary general Abdullah Julaihi, coach Robert Alberts and Crocs captain Zamri Morshidi.
