Malaysia to meet Indonesia in final in SEA Games

Malaysia will  meet Indonesia in the final after beating Myanmar 1-0 in a semifinal match at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium Saturday night.

Ahmad Fakhri Saarani was the hero scoring the only goal in the 85th min thus enabling Malaysia to repeat the gold medal win at 2009 Laos SEA Games.

In the other semi-final, Indonesia beat Vietnam 2-0 with goals from Patrich Wanggai and Titus Bonai.

The final will be held at Stadium Gelora Bung Karno on Monday at 7pm local time (8 pm Malaysian time).

Coach Ong Kim Swee was seen sending instructions to players using notes sent via masseur Zaidi Latif Zaidi who passed them to assistant coach Hassan Sazali Mohd Waras who was beside the field.

The Melaka born coach was forced to sit out one match by United Arab Emirates (UAE) referee Fahad Alkassar for protesting a decision in the Malaysia-Indonesia match on Thursday.
