Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) vice president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin urged teams to not rush into signing foreign imports if they cannot meet the dateline for registration of players set by FAM.
Hamidin said teams that are not able to meet the dateline which ends tomorrow, can register players, especially import players, when the window for registration opens on April 2.
"Teams need not rush into signing players if they are not satisfied with their performances, just because tomorrow is the dateline. We do not want teams to sign players and later regret the decision," he said.
He added that teams can register players through the online Transfer Matching System (TMS) introduced by FIFA in 2008 to ease the burden of 4,600 clubs and associations throughout the world.
