Terengganu completes signing of foreign players

Terengganu have finally decided on their choice of foreign signings, less than 24 hours before the deadline for players' registration.

Terengganu FA president Datuk Che Mat Jusoh said it took a while to sort out the selections as there were 17 foreigners to choose from.

In the end, Nigerian Sibi Gwar, 24, and Brazilian Tercio Nunes Machado, 33, were picked.

"We wanted the best players for our team and after three weeks of deliberating, we opted for Gwar, who is a striker, and midfielder Machado. "Machado used to play for KL Plus back in the 2007 and 2008 seasons and was instrumental in guiding the club to finish second in the Premier League in 2008," said Che Mat adding that Gwar, who played for Niger Tornadoes FC in the Nigerian Premier League, will add potency to Terengganu's attack.

"Machado, with his accurate, defence splitting passes, will make our team much more dangerous when going forward," said Che Mat.

"We are known for our fast attacking game and we will continue playing like that as we have not lost any of our key players."
