Kedah set to drop unconvincing Brazilian players

Kedah FA may drop its two Brazilian import players who have failed to assist the team register any win in their last four Super League matches.

Midfielder Daniel Soares Neves has so far not shown his capabilities while Danilo Rafael Dos Santos Vivaldo has yet to play due to injuries and has to take a three-month break.

Team manager Datuk Khazali Din said the team would decide in a week on the next course action and that Kedah were also in the process of finding new players.

"We are focusing on strengthening the forward and back line. They play well so far but could not find the goal," he said when met after the match against Kelantan which saw Kedah losing 0-3.

He added that the team would try to find new players at the latest by Feb 14.

A disappointed Kedah chief coach Mohd Nidzam Adzha said he would reshuffle the team's position in the near future and call on the players to work harder and avoid making mistakes.

Nidzam said experienced players like Mohd Khyril Muhymeen Zambri and Badrol Bakhtiar, who are left and right wingers respectively, were unable to perform in their new attacking role, a position which they had to take following the absence of good attacking players.

Kedah are at the second bottom of the league table after losing twice and drawing the other two matches.
