Perak grabbed the lead in the Super League from Kelantan after edging Sarawak 2-1 at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh Wednesday night.
Perak's goals were scored by their Slovakian import Michal Kubala in the 7th minute and Mohd Fazrul Hazli Mohd Kadri (26th minute) while Vedran Muratovich netted the consolation goal for the visitors from a penaltry awarded in the 34th minute.
The win gave the Seladang who were in third place 15 points overall after six matches to dethrone Kelantan from the top position.
Kelantan fell into second place after only managing a 1-1 draw against Sabah at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu.
Their neighbours Terengganu also had a similar result against Selangor PKNS at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu.
Meanwhile, Selangor and Johor FC also followed in the footsteps of Kelantan and Terengganu, carving out the same result on their home turfs.
The Red Giants were tied to a 1-1 draw when hosting Singapore's Lions XII squad at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil with Shahril Ishak opening the scoring for the visitors in the 43rd minute before K. Gurusamy pulled level for the hosts in the 45th minute.
Johor FC and Felda United also played to a 1-1 draw at the Pasir Gudang Stadium with Mohd Syazwan Zainon putting the hosts ahead in the 82nd minute before Mohd Azrul Ahmad neutralised the advantage three minutes later.
Elsewhere, Negeri Sembilan edged T-team 2-1 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi while Kedah notched their first victory this season, defeating Kuala Lumpur 1-0 at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka with Mohd Khyril Muhymeen producing the solitary goal in the 6th minute.
