Singapore matches under investigation for match-fixing

A Fifa investigator revealed that at least one of Singapore's LionsXII matches in the M-League was fixed.

In an interview with Singapore's The New Paper, the Fifa investigator, who declined to be named, also said other matches involving the team were being investigated.

He said that while the matches were under investigation, the LionsXII themselves were not.

"The match officials and players are under investigation," said the Fifa official, who, however, did not reveal which matches were compromised.

This revelation came after the FA of Malaysia suspended 11 youth players and banned a coach for life last week for fixing matches.

FAM said on Monday that three M-League teams were under investigation. The Fifa official said the Lions were not one of the teams.
