Terengganu Menteri Besar thinks sacking of players and coaches are common thing in football

Sacking players or terminating the services of coaches is common in the football industry, said Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said.

He said the expected termination of T-Team's imported striker Zacharia Simukonda, soon, would be made according to the terms and conditions stipulated in the contract.

"When he does not play well, we have to release him from the team. There is no such thing as to whether such action is proper or not," he said.

Ahmad said every team, including T-Team, hope for the best when they signed foreign players not just as an agenda for experiment.

According to him, he had already informed the T-Team's management to find the best import players and not just rely on agents.

"We should not depend on the video clips since we don't know when the video was taken. We should not import players who are injured or not fully fit because team's performance will suffer," he said.

T-Team would call up several new imported players to undergo trials in a day or two to replace Simukonda from Zambia as he had failed to live up to expectations.

The Football Association of Malaysia has set Feb 13 as the dateline for registration of import players.
