26 foreign players allowed to play in M-League next season

The Football  Association of Malaysia (FAM) has approved the registration of 26 foreign players who will feature among teams playing in the M-League next season.

According to a statement from the FAM, the competitions committee that met today had deliberated the application of 35 import players submitted by state and club teams competing in the Premier and Super League competitions.

The approval for the 26 players was given based on the terms and guidelines set by FIFA.

"The approval for 26 players included approval for four players whose International Transfer Certificate (ITC) has yet to be received," said the statement.

The application of seven players was not approved because their application did not meet the requirements while two applications were withdrawn.

Among the players who will feature in the Premier and Super League competition are Marlon James, Bruno Sebastian Martelotto for Armed Forces; Esseh Sodjine Sougan Adah (Johor), Danilo Rafael Dos Santos Vivaldo (Kedah), Mohamad Ghaddar, Dennis Agayare, Emmanuel Ayaah Okine (Kelantan) and Ramez Dayoub (Selangor).

The four players approved pending their ITC are Daniel Soares Neves (Kedah), Mbele Lelo (Selangor), Evans Chusilo (MP Muar) and Christian Contes (Perlis).

The seven applications rejected were Richard Offiong (Johor), Tito Fernando Da Silva Pinto, Tiago Lima Leal (Johor FC), Bianchi Parades Santiago (Felda United), Marquen Nuquen Goncalves (Negeri Sembilan), Sergey Ivanov (Pahang) and Helmi Loussaief (Selangor PKNS).

Applications for Tercio Nunes Machado (Terengganu) and Oladimeji Mathew Talabi from Betaria FC, a club from Negeri Sembilan, were withdrawn.
