Malaysia climbed seven rungs in the FIFA world rankings to end the year in 148th position.
Malaysia, 155th last month, managed to improve by playing a number of international friendly matches.
However, the 148th position did not match the 138th spot they managed in March and nowhere near Malaysia’s best ever ranking of 75th in 1993.
