Mohd Rozaimi Abdul Rahman of Sabah is on the national Olympic coach Ong Kim Swee’s radar.

The midfield sensation who emerged as the State Reserve League squad’s top scorer could make it into the national Olympic team if he impresses the national head coach.

He is among the 11 players called up by Ong to compliment the current squad of 18 players to face English Premier League side Chelsea in a friendly on July 21.

Ong, quoted by the national news agency – Bernama – yesterday said that he would be using the friendly to test the 11 players before absorbing them into the Harimau Muda A squad.

If Rozaimi makes the cut, he will be the first player from Sabah to have made it into the Harimau Muda A side.

“The new players can be roped into the Harimau Muda A team which is also known as the Olympic squad, provided they are registered seven days before a match,” he was quoted as saying by Bernama yesterday.
