Liverpool assistant coach praises Malaysia

Malaysia's Harimau Malaya played a competitive match and were fearless, said Liverpool FC's assistant coach Steve Clarke.

"The match was very good and entertaining. They (Malaysia) performed well," he told the  post-match press conference here Saturday night.

The post-match press conference also attended by the team's new signing, Charlie Adam.
Liverpool FC won the match against Malaysia 6-3 at the National Stadium in front of over 80,000 fans.

Clarke also noted that their Asian Tour matches were very esential for all players in their preparation for the English Premier League (EPL) 2011/2012 season.

Meanwhile, Adam, who scored the team's first goal in the 26th minute, said he was happy to score the goal.

"It was my real opportunity to score and I'm delighted. The match was a really good match. I hope that I can get more goals for the team (in the EPL new season)," said Adam.
