Malaysian coach positive about chance

Malaysia coach K. Rajagobal insist they need to carve out a victory during the second leg of the 2014 World Cup Asian Zone Qualifier match against Singapore on Thursday.

Malaysia were defeated 5-3 in the first leg, and will need to comeback from the two-goal deficit to maintain their hopes of staying in the fray.

"We have no other choice but to win. If we want to stay in this competition, we must overturn our fortunes.

"Singapore is a good, balanced team. But I am positive the boys can overcome the odds," said Rajagobal.

While the coach has not revealed how his lineup will be like, Rajagobal is considering giving the captain armband to either striker Safee Sali or defender Mohd Aidil Zafuan Radzak.

Meanwhile, Singapore coach Radojko Avramovic said his team is prepared to face the pressure of at least an 85,000-strong crowd at Bukit Jalil.

"It will be difficult, but my players have faced such situations before, and I am confident they can deliver again.

"We are looking forward to seal our progress into the next round," he added.
