Thousands of Liverpool fans watch them training

More  than 30,000 local and foreign fans of English Premier League team Liverpool FC flocked to the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil here Thursday to watch their favourite players train ahead of the team's friendly match against the Malaysian national side at the same venue on Saturday.

Besides Malaysians, fans as far as Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand started gathering at the stadium as early as 4pm even though the warm up session was only due to kick off at 7pm.

Most of them clad in the team's jersey were ecstactic to be able to watch their favourite players in action right before their eyes.
They also sang the theme song of Liverpool FC - "You'll Never  Walk Alone".

The training session lasted for about an hour.

After that, 'The Reds' circled the stadium in appreciating the strong supports from the fans.

The squad, under the guidance of it's former player, Kenny Dalglish, arrived in Kuala Lumpur Thursday to play against Malaysia's 'Harimau Malaya'. Kick off is at 5.45pm.

The team touched down in Malaysia after winning their first pre-season match with Guangdong Sunray Cave in Guangzhou, China 4-3, Wednesday.

Malaysia will be their last stop for the 2011 Asia Tour and they will be back to Europe for friendlies with Hull City (July 23), Galatasaray (July 28), Valerenga (Aug 1) and Valencia (Aug 6)
