The Malaysian 'Harimau Malaya' squad has been invited to play a friendly match against Indonesia to help prepare their squad for 2014 Asian Zone World Cup Qualifier in September.
Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) committee member Bob Hippy said the Indonesian World Cup squad was also planning to hold friendly matches with Australia as well.
Indonesia was voted into Group E together with Iran, Bahrain and 2022 World Cup host, Qatar.
Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary-general Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad when contacted said the national body was still waiting for further details on the date and location of the match.
In the second round second leg, Indonesia defeated Turkmenistan 4-3 and qualified for the third round, 5-4 on aggregate.
The progress of the Harimau Malaya squad under Datuk K. Rajagobal was halted in the second round after losing 4-6 on aggregate to Singapore.
