Kuala Lumpur to follow FAM directive on referees' allowance

The  Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA) has no problems to abide by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) directive to pay in cash the allowance for referees every time it hosts the Malaysia Cup match beginning this season.

Its president, Datuk Astaman Abdul Aziz said referees had been paid their allowance in cash since the first match when Kuala Lumpur hosted a Malaysia Cup match last Sept 10.

"I have approved payment for the referees for tomorrow's (Sept 17) where Kuala Lumpur is the host," he told Bernama here Friday.

KLFA will meet the Police (PDRM) in tomorrow's match at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium.

Astaman said he hoped other teams would also do then when they were to host the Malaysia Cup.
