Terengganu to give trials for foreign players

Terengganu will carry out trials for at least seven foreign players in the next two weeks, assistant manager Sheikh Tajudin Sheikh Yusof said.

The selection trials would start on Wednesday involving players from Ghana, and next week for those from Nigeria and Brazil, he told Bernama.

He added that many foreign footballers had expressed interest to play for the state.

"We are now sorting out matters with their agents," said Sheikh Tajudin who is also the Terengganu FA vice-president.

He added that Terengganu would not rush into signing import players because it wanted to find the right ones and besides, there was still ample time to do the selection.

He also said that although players had been coming to express interest to play for the team, Terengganu would still embark on their own search abroad in a bid to find quality players.
