Defence Minister wants Armed Forces to win a trophy next season

The Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) soccer team fortified with several leading players from the Super League, target to win at least one title in the next season of the M-League which starts next month.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the firepower from these big names would brighten up ATM's chances of collecting one of the titles at stake.

"I hope the new players will not disappoint the team management after the squad returned empty handed for two seasons," he told reporters after launching the team's logo and official website at www.atmfa.my, here Monday.

Among the players brought into ATM were 2011 golden boot winner Hairuddin Omar and the twin terrors of Mohd Aidil Zafuan Abdul Radzak and Mohd Zaquan Adha.

The team has been further strengthened with two imported players, namely Bruno Sebastian Martelotto, a former player with MPPC FC of Argentina and former Kedah striker from St Vincent, Marlon Alex James.
