Sarawak complete unbeaten run in Indonesian friendlies

The Sarawak football team end their four-match pre-season friendly tour on a high note with a 3-1 win over PERSIKAB FC of Bandung on Sunday.

With the win over the highly fancied PERSIKAB FC, the Crocs preserved their unbeaten run as they had earlier registered a 1-0 win over MH Selection, 3-0 win over Saint Prima FC and a hard fought 1-1 draw with Persita Tangerang FC.

In yesterday’s match, all the goals came through the foreign imports Guy Bwele who netted a brace while Kalle Sone Masue’s pin-point header also found the net.

Guy Bwele’s goal came through when he beat the off-side trap and slot the ball past PERSIKAB FC keeper.

Kalle Sone Masue rose high to head-in Sarawak’s SECOND goal. Guy Bwele then increased the Crocs’ advantage by scoring through a free kick.

The State squad preserved their 3-0 lead into the first half and their stout defense was only breach well into the second half when PERSIKAB FC scored a consolation goal.

Statistically, the Crocs scored a total of 8 goals for an average of 2 goals per match with Kalle Sone Masue leading the tally with 3 goals, Khairul Azahar and Guy Bwele 2 goals each while Rashid Aya netted one goal.

The State football squad touch-down at Kuching International Airport yesterday evening from Bandung.
