Sarawak giving incentives to buy tickets for Super League matches

Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) is giving incentives to encourage fans to purchase season tickets for the Super League 2012 home matches.

“We are encouraging fans to show and continue to support the team by purchasing season tickets. FAS hope to increase the number of season-ticket holders and have introduced incentives such as lucky draws on every match-days. The grand prize for the draw are two units of Perodua Viva,” said FAS secretary-general Abdullah Julaihi.

Season tickets are priced at RM150 per pass for Open Terrace and RM225 per pass for the Terraced section of the State Stadium. Corporate and VIP season passes are also available.

On the Crocs’ 1-0 triumph over neighbours Sabah on Tuesday, Abdullah praised the state players and said the boys had shown a lot of commitment and proved they were able to win tough matches.

“We have a good team made up of young players and had beefed up the squad with mature and experienced players ahead of their Super League assignments next year, because at Super League level the competition is fierce.

“Against Sabah, it was a difficult match but the fans kept us going. I am glad and thankful that Crocs’ fans have always come out to support the team,” explained Julaihi.

He added that having won promotion to the Super League, the Crocs started well in their pre-season friendlies, remaining unbeaten in their first five games.

“Sarawak play good attractive football, and it’s what the fans want to see – good, attacking football that eventually led them to promotion to the Super League. Judging by the match against Sabah, the Crocs have a well-balanced squad and showed good combination in attack and defensive manoeuvres.”

For now, the Crocs are concentrating solely on staying in the top half of the table in the 2012 season, he added.
