Negri Sembilan told to be more consistent

Negri Sembilan footballers have been reminded that they must maintain their consistency in their Malaysia Cup campaign this season.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Hasan said that their 2-1 Group B win over PKNS at the MBPJ Stadium on Tuesday was “a good start to the campaign”.

“We managed to control the game and keep our opponents at bay despite having goalkeeper Mohd Farizal Marlias sent off in the 53rd minute,” he said.

“We were lucky to collect three points from the away match.”

Mohamed, who is also the Negri Sembilan FA president, said the Deer displayed a high level of commitment.

Negri Sembilan finished runners-up in the Malaysia Cup last season after lifting the title a year earlier.

Besides PKNS, the other teams in Group B are Terengganu and Sime Darby.
