Kedah coach Wan Jamak Wan Hassan who has been hauled up by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for lashing out at referees, is expected to seek advice from the Kedah Football Association (KFA), before deciding on the next course of action.
Wan Jamak who blamed the match officials during the match against Perak, for his team's failure to advance to the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals, has been asked to face the FAM disciplinary committee.
The former Johor and national player turned coach had blamed the referee for disallowing two goals in the match against Perak.
"I cannot make any comments before meeting Kedah FA. We will meet and discuss the matter," he told Bernama when contacted today.
Meanwhile, KFA secretary Datuk Dr Hamdan Mohamed Khalib who confirmed that the FA had received a letter from the FAM, said a reply would be send soon.
FAM secretary-general Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad when contacted by Bernama said he would wait for a reply from the Kedah FA and Wan Jamak before issuing any statement.
It is learnt that the coach may be suspended for up to 18 matches.
